New video demos of the S2 Eye Tracker
With the release of the S2 Eye Tracker, we’ve started to publish quick demonstration videos of its capabilities. The goal is to provide more detailed visual information about the eye tracking system – how it works, its ease of use, etc.
To view the videos, just click the links below:
- Eye Tracking with Glasses: The eye tracker does work with glasses. It’s been tested with corrective glasses, anaglyph, polarized and shutter 3D glasses. It works best with 3D glasses.
- Eye Tracking with Head Tilt: The eye tracker works with a moderate degree of head tilt, which occurs in natural free head motion. This means you can give test subjects the freedom to move as they normally would, during any eye tracking study.
- Eye Tracking with Excessive Blinking: The eye tracker continues to work without any issues when someone is blinking. It’s unlikely that someone would blink as much as we demonstrate in this video, but the key is that people can act naturally during an eye tracking study.
- Eye Tracking with Head Shaking: The eye tracker allows people to shake their heads a reasonable amount. This video shows the test subject looking at one point on the screen while shaking his head.
- Reacquisition of Eyes: The eye tracker can reacquire a test subject’s eyes very quickly if they’re moved out of the eye tracker’s range.

"Your eye tracker has been invaluable to my research. In addition to bringing the technology within reach of my limited budget, it was incredibly easy to set up. I was recording within an hour of unwrapping the package and installing the software." - Jodie Jenkinson, Assistant Professor, University of Toronto
