The S2 Eye Tracker is very quick to reacquire a test subject’s eyes when they move out of the field of the tracker. The eye tracker locks onto the eyes within a single frame (16 ms).
The video below shows a demonstration of an eye tracking study with a subject that moves his head and eyes out of view on several occasions, and then reappears. You can see that the eye tracker loses sight of the eyes and then reacquires the eyes and restarts tracking very quickly.
